    Default Into the "Blue"

    Hey guys,
When I say into the "Blue", I am not talking about the old salt and briny...what I am eluding to is the excellent run of blue salmon we are experiencing in the north at present. The wintery chills may have done much to slow down some of our favourite northern adversaries like Barra and Jacks...but on the flip side, the blue salmon are going nuts!! Such an unreal sportsfish which fight hard and perform acrobaticss like a Russian gymnast. They are eating almost anything guys so be sure to get amongst them.....but only take what you need ofcourse.

    Cheers,
    Luke

Probably just over 55cm or so Mick. They do get a lot of centimetres out of their long forked tail though too.

Nice blues Luke. As you say, only take what you want as they do not store well. The tourists catch heaps at Kurumba but probably throw a lot away after they have been frozen. Story is that they are small here at the present time but I have not been chasing them. For the bait fisherman, they love live Qld anchovies. I also understand that they do grow to a large size.
