Hi there,
After quite a number of weeks of being unable to wet a line, last weekend I finally managed to get out for a fish. I decided to chase a feed of whiting as it had been some time since we had tasted fresh fish.Di was even threatening to buy some fish , a real insult to any keen fisho.
I managed to score a supply of live blood worms and headed down to Woy Woy on Brisbane waters. The fishing was slow and many changes of location were needed. I could not locate a school of fish, just catching the odd one here and there, but slowly the numbers built up.
I ended up catching nine whiting and five bream. However, what they lacked in numbers was made up in quality, none of the whiting being under 35 cm and the largest went just under 43cm.
I am heading north next weekend to Monduran for two weeks and hopefully I can be as successful with the barra.
